Nowadays, urban dwellers are more susceptible to viruses and bacteria in the environment, as our health, is more often than not, neglected. This maybe due to the higher levels of stress in work to achieve our personal goals. Here are some tips for you to keep healthy.

Have enough:
Vitamin A – rejuvenation of skin cells and complexion. take fruits and vegetables. Daily intake: 700mcg
Vitamin Bs – for mental alertness. Berocca helps
Vitamin C – immune system level, determines the resistance to viruses. Take Vitamin C capsules, Redoxon, orange. Not Ribena. Daily intake: 90mg (men), 75mg (women)
Vitamin D – complements with calcium in building strong bones. Take capsules, dairy products

Take 6 litres of liquid daily and avoid drinks that are high in sugar levels. Limit about 2 canned drinks per day. If you have family history of diabetes, control your blood glucose levels.

Reduce high blood pressure:
Eat guava, celery

Reduce cholestrol:
Take Red Yeast Rice (capsule form)
Avoid seafood, duck, egg yolk…

Mine health goals.

  • Take Vitamin C and Calcium tablets whenever possible.
  • Water intake in moderation. (feeling thirsty often)
  • Less oil, less sugar, less condiments
  • More vegetables and fruits
  • Stress – Take Vitamin B
  • DHA and Omega fatty acids for healthy eyes

How about relieving back pains?
Besides paracetamol tablets (pain-killer), a more natural way is to do stretches while standing or lying or sitting up. For example, palms to elbow on both hands, lift up above head and swing left-right. Some abdominal exercises helps to strength the back muscles.

Other daily intake: Calcium 1000mg, Iron 8mg, Zinc 11mg
